First Love
The words don’t come and so I write,
I know that I’ll think of you tonight.
You heard of true love in movies and books,
But not based on popularity or looks.
When I first met you, I didn’t give it a second thought,
But after a few hours, I knew I was caught.
We met in a very uncertain way,
But I still remember the day.
What we had was something new,
Our love for each other has always been true.
I didn’t trust you, but it was a start,
I had so much fun, but it ended too fast.
